We are Corrado and Nathy.
We met in middle school, started dating in high school and finally tied the knot in 2006. When we got married, we were extremely young and on a very tight budget at the time, so we opted for small wedding with about 28 of our closest family members and friends. It was an incredibly intimate and beautiful day that we will never forget. However, we do have one regret. Because we were on a tight budget, we thought it would be "OK" to opt for a cheap wedding photography solution. We were wrong.
Many years later we can still remember how beautiful it all was, the flowers, the cake, the favors. Unfortunately, we dont have images that live up to those memories. Instead we have just a couple of "OK" photos.
In 2009 we opened Onkei Photography to service couples who want creative and timeless wedding photography of their big day and to help others not make the same mistake we did. Our goal is to make sure your wedding photos capture the beauty and love during the most special day of your life.
In case you are wondering, "Onkei" is the Japanese translation of "blessed". We picked that as our studio name as our way of acknowledging our belief that God has blessed us with truly amazing lives but most importantly our goal to bless the life of each and every person we come in contact with.
Corrado is a recovering Starbucks addict, a technology geek at heart and rides an awesome vintage-style motorcycle. His childhood dreams included being the drummer of Guns N' Roses or a race-car driver but Guns N' Roses broke up and race cars are expensive.
The two things that get Corrado our of bed each morning are making life an adventure for himself and his family as well as building lasting relationships with others. Luckily, photography has been the perfect vehicle for doing just that. It has allowed him to travel with his wife and daughter to awesome locations, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, turn wedding clients into life-long friends and much more.
Nathy is a hopeless romantic who watches Sandra Bullock's "The Proposal" at least once a week. She also has a rather unique ability to make up random song lyrics to virtually every song she ever sings. She has one weakness. Well, two. Cheese and chocolates.
We enjoy traveling, eating at random hole-in-the-wall restaurants (specially Japanese restaurants) but by far our favorite thing to do is stay at home, order some delivery and watch a movie. In October 2015 we welcomed our daughter "Emi" into this world. She quickly promoted herself to CEO of the photo studio and made taking photos of her the top priority.
In order to provide our clients the absolute best customer experience we only photograph a limited number of weddings each year.
